Shrug

I was looking for a really warm sweater pattern that I could knit for our very chilly Ontario winters. I liked the simplicity of the Lion Brand Fishermen’s Wool Speckled Shrug, which is a free pattern available to download. I am using Bernat Softee Chunky in a denim blue tweed and Knit Picks 40″ 9mm (US13) interchangeable circular needles. This shrug knits up really quickly because of the bulky yarn and large needles. It’s a nice break from tiny sock stitches.

The shrug turned out very nicely, but was not exactly a one-size fits all pattern. However, that being said, it looks amazing on my taller sister! So cozy!
