Knit This Build That

My name is Corinne and I am on a journey to improve both my knitting and woodworking skills. Please join me as I share my projects and processes. The more that we know how to do, the more that we can do for others.

Printer Stand/Yarn Cubby

I had extra wood left over from some previous projects of mine and my late Dad’s, and I had the need for a printer stand. Looks like we have ourselves a quick project. I used two old pieces of 3/4″ plywood from Dad’s stock of wood and mdf for the shelves. Of course I used pocket holes for construction. It went together really quickly and does the job. I painted it the wall colour so that it blends in nicely in the living room/home office. Most of the time was spent sanding and painting. The cutting and assembly was quick and easy for such a simple project. Sometimes little jobs have a big benefit. The next desk project will be turning the lower vertical storage in Dad’s desk into drawers, which I prefer. But Dad built this desk, so I won’t be changing it any other way.
